In the 16th minute, Daniel Acuña made a precise shot to the right of Basilio Monardes. Licanantay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of Licanantay booed when FuiAlBalón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacob Deramond didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the game, Jacob Deramond threw the ball into play from the sideline. Licanantay's Rexino Doebbel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 36th match minute, Licanantay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Soriano Buendia to maneuver through the defense. FuiAlBalón FC's Victor Hugo Jaramillo got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Hugo Jaramillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basilio Monardes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Hugo Jaramillo ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabián Kirck to strike the kick off in the second half. If Victor Hugo Jaramillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Monardes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Acuña, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Basilio Monardes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Hugo Jaramillo's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Basilio Monardes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Hugo Jaramillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Soriano Buendia might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo Victoriano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Soriano Buendia ran back to his position shaking his head. Basilio Monardes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Hugo Jaramillo in the 80th minute of play. Basilio Monardes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Acuña's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Fabián Kirck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Victoriano having to interfere. Licanantay's Basilio Monardes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Acuña in the 87th minute of play. Basilio Monardes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Carrillo in the 89th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Licanantay's zone, Victor Hugo Jaramillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Monardes came out of the goal and Victor Hugo Jaramillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
