Spectators: 6687 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1687, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The referee showed Xamín Mascayano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Herradura AFC got a freekick which was hit by Xamín Mascayano. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Herradura AFC's goalkeeper Matias Ulloa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Xamín Mascayano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 11 minutes had been played. With a little luck, Herradura AFC's Matias Ulloa got control of the ball when Enrique Baracaldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matias Ulloa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferrán Amezqueta in the 21st minute of the match. Ferrán Amezqueta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Matias Ulloa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Herradura AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Baracaldo came free, but Matias Ulloa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cuenca's Xamín Aeta got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Pinone Canitrot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuenca's Natalio Iribarren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ferrán Amezqueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enrique Baracaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferrán Amezqueta in the 35th minute of play forced Herradura AFC's goalkeeper Matias Ulloa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ferrán Amezqueta to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Herradura AFC's zone, Enrique Baracaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Ulloa came out of the goal and Enrique Baracaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferrán Amezqueta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Cuenca's Natalio Iribarren got control of the ball when Pinone Canitrot tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ferrán Amezqueta came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Cuenca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferrán Amezqueta couldn't finish the play. Matias Ulloa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferrán Amezqueta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Herradura AFC's goalkeeper Matias Ulloa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute Ferrán Amezqueta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Ulloa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferrán Amezqueta in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matias Ulloa saved Herradura AFC from getting behind. Matias Ulloa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferrán Amezqueta, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. If Ferrán Amezqueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Herradura AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Cuenca had held the ball for most of the match.
