Spectators: 6707 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hermelando Urbina took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 minutes of play, Cobresal FC's Hermelando Urbina made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Txomin Serey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Txomin Serey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Ingelborgh in the 8th minute of the match. Monterrey's Paulo Peso got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 13 played minutes Monterrey got a freekick which was hit by Tancredo Massardo. Cobresal FC's Hermelando Urbina got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mohamed Chauriye received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Txomin Serey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Monterrey's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Ingelborgh came free, but Txomin Serey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes Monterrey got a freekick which was hit by Tancredo Massardo. The supporters of Cobresal FC booed when Monterrey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurilio Bettini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohamed Chauriye sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermelando Urbina took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Txomin Serey. Txomin Serey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Miguel Ingelborgh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Txomin Serey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Monterrey's Paulo Peso got a free kick in the 37th minute. Miguel Ingelborgh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Txomin Serey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Ingelborgh in the 41st minute of the match. Hermelando Urbina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txomin Serey having to interfere. The Monterrey players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cobresal FC were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tancredo Massardo to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Hermelando Urbina put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Txomin Serey. If Miguel Ingelborgh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64thth minute of the game Miguel Ingelborgh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monterrey's Txomin Serey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Isidro Chavarria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Txomin Serey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miguel Ingelborgh had several of the Monterrey's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Txomin Serey as he didn't even see the shot coming. After having played for 77 minutes, Hermelando Urbina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cobresal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermelando Urbina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd play minute Hermelando Urbina came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Txomin Serey. 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tancredo Massardo in the 89th minute of play forced Cobresal FC's goalkeeper Hermelando Dorr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monterrey's goalkeeper Txomin Serey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hermelando Urbina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Txomin Serey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monterrey's Txomin Serey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Monterrey from getting a goal against them.
