In the 9th minute Marco Maggiora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Van Schowen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Puntillas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xacobo Arana to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Mario Jesus Marzullo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo De la Maza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Conchali LDEA's zone, Mariano Machuca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo De la Maza came out of the goal and Mariano Machuca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Américo De la Maza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Jesus Marzullo in the 20th minute of play. Miren Matamala took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Américo De la Maza. Conchali LDEA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mariano Machuca took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Américo De la Maza. Américo De la Maza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a little luck, Puntillas AFC's Evelio Van Schowen got control of the ball when Miguel Ángel Narea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evelio Van Schowen made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Miguel Ángel Narea sent off a good shot on target. Mariano Machuca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo De la Maza having to interfere. Mariano Machuca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Américo De la Maza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Machuca in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Américo De la Maza saved Conchali LDEA from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Jesus Marzullo to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Mariano Machuca put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Américo De la Maza. With an all-out effort, Puntillas AFC's Américo De la Maza threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mario Jesus Marzullo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Américo De la Maza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Jesus Marzullo in the 64th minute of the match. With a little luck, Conchali LDEA's Américo De la Maza got control of the ball when Mariano Machuca tried to sneak it across the goal line. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Miguel Ángel Narea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Evelio Van Schowen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Américo De la Maza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Jesus Marzullo's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Luis Barrientos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Puntillas AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Conchali LDEA:s goal. In the 88th minute, Jose Miguel Cuadrado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mariano Machuca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Américo De la Maza having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded Puntillas AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Conchali LDEA.
