Carlos José Cuadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Chamorro in the 8th minute of play. Héctor Galleguillos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos José Cuadros having to make a save. In the 10th match minute, Cabecera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Javier Arostegui to maneuver through the defense. When Caleu AFC's Markus Chamorro in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos José Cuadros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Romano Araube took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Javier Arostegui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th match minute, Cabecera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ángel Lama to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Héctor Galleguillos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Markus Chamorro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos José Cuadros. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Markus Chamorro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caleu AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Markus Chamorro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos José Cuadros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos José Cuadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markus Chamorro's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markus Chamorro in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos José Cuadros saved Cabecera from getting behind. In the 42nd minute Markus Chamorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos José Cuadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 52nd minute, Caleu AFC's Teofilio Achondo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos José Cuadros. Carlos José Cuadros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. If Markus Chamorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romano Araube showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Javier Arostegui in the 62nd minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Zarpas Sánchez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caleu AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabecera the free kick. In the 71st minute, Zarpas Sánchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caleu AFC's Romano Araube played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pietro Albornoz in the 74th minute of play. Carlos José Cuadros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilio Achondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After some careless play in the Caleu AFC defense, José Javier Arostegui kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romano Araube. The Caleu AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romano Araube should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute Ángel Lama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romano Araube saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Markus Chamorro lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Carlos José Cuadros. Teofilio Achondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Carlos José Cuadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
