With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonatán Escalona in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victoriano Asencio saved COLO COLO from getting behind. Victoriano Asencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonatán Escalona's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. If Jonatán Escalona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, Miren Véjar notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of COLO COLO's Victoriano Asencio. Victoriano Asencio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miren Véjar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to COLO COLO getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Emanuel Duñabeitia hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Maximiliano Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Bettini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pucarani's Jonatán Escalona in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye COLO COLO's goalie prevented a goal. COLO COLO's Quintín Maza got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 40 played minutes Pucarani got a freekick which was hit by Elazar Balbontín. After 41 played minutes, COLO COLO's Juan Manuel Bardesi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ruperto Bettini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in COLO COLO reached it. Valentino Argandoña charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentino Argandoña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pucarani's Valentino Argandoña got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonatán Escalona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Nestor Peacock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Horacio Jesus Wilkenson managed to get in a good position for a shot. COLO COLO's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Jesus Wilkenson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Bettini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonatán Escalona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Victoriano Asencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pucarani getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Elazar Balbontín hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonatán Escalona kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victoriano Asencio. That made the score 0-3 in the 88 minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Maxín Peralta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
