Pucarani's Jonatán Escalona got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Estevan Durney came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Pucarani's Miren Véjar. But to his dismay, Miren Véjar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonatán Escalona in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Estevan Durney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the match, Jose Warnes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Provincial Ranco's Estevan Durney. Estevan Durney was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonatán Escalona struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Provincial Ranco's Estevan Durney tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruperto Bettini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ireno Aspillaga in the 47th minute of play. In the 49th minute Provincial Ranco were awarded a corner. José Marcelo Bünzli went to the cornerflag to take it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elodio Grove to make the kick off. If Jonatán Escalona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonatán Escalona in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Estevan Durney saved Provincial Ranco from getting behind. After 71 played minutes Pucarani got a freekick which was hit by Jonatán Escalona. Jonatán Escalona struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute.
