After having played for 3 minutes, Christiano Almi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sacaya AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christiano Almi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blue Poetry FC's Aurelius Macuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pol Pomar in the 8th minute of play. Pol Pomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelius Macuer having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro José Gacitúa during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Blue Poetry FC's Pedro José Gacitúa got a free kick in the 14th minute. Jose Rober made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Aramayo in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Almi in the 18th minute of play forced Blue Poetry FC's goalkeeper Aurelius Macuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricard Basanguren kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Sacaya AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Valerio Milan in the 26th minute. Sacaya AFC's Valerio Milan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aurelius Macuer in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christiano Almi in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelius Macuer saved Blue Poetry FC from getting behind. Mauricio Aránguiz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aurelius Macuer. Blue Poetry FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 45 played minutes Blue Poetry FC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Fernando Fanjul. Sacaya AFC's Pol Pomar got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Blue Poetry FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christiano Almi came free, but Aurelius Macuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Christiano Almi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Aurelius Macuer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Christiano Almis short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Aurelius Macuer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Carlos Aramayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pol Pomar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelius Macuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pol Pomar, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Christiano Almi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelius Macuer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Sacaya AFC's Damián Ancavil seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Damián Ancavil the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sacaya AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Damián Ancavil had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 90th minute, one of Sacaya AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sacaya AFC. The referee gave Blue Poetry FC a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dalmacio Soza, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sacaya AFC's Jose Rober. 1-1. Jose Rober made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Aramayo in the 97th minute of play. Jose Rober showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Savier Serey, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Sacaya AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
