They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Gustavo Arostegui to make the kick off. Pinuta's players were relieved. 82 minutes into the game, one of Pinuta:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 87th minute Daniel Montane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nafarroa González saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The goalkeeper, Benicio Pinto, was totally fooled by CD Uli Hoeneß EV's Xalvador Hamdorf, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Carlos Gustavo Arostegui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Pinto having to interfere. CD Uli Hoeneß EV's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
