When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis María Comas got free with Cornelio Grajales in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genaro Bazan charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Bazan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Hilario Larrarte came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Pinuta fans jumped to their feet. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 93rd minute, when Pinuta's Lauro Landman after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Cornelio Grajales in Goodfellas's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. 94 minutes into the game, Alesandro Carcamo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goodfellas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinuta the free kick. Alesandro Carcamo kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute of the match Lauro Landman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Grajales skillfully saved the ball. 98 minutes into the match, Luis María Comas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cornelio Grajales. Goodfellas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis María Comas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Goodfellas succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Pinuta had controlled the match.
