In the 17th match minute, Melosas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Magallanes to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Melosas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Mosquera came free, but Wal Gold reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Melosas AFC's Sarracino Soria in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 34 minutes, Sarracino Soria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melosas AFC and the Legion 501st players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Melosas AFC's Sarracino Soria got a free kick in the 34th minute. Wal Gold was a little too slow when Omar Fadda got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. The corner led Legion 501st's Narciso Nogueira to fire away a dangerous shot which Wal Gold despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Melosas AFC's Enmanuel Velasco got a free kick in the 41st minute. Adelino Menares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Wal Gold made a huge save. Christiano Koehler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Zárate, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduard Zárate to make the kick off. The supporters of Melosas AFC booed when Legion 501st was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Legion 501st's Omar Fadda got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adelino Menares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Legion 501st defense, Sarracino Soria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiano Koehler. The Legion 501st fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Koehler should have stopped the shot. In the 68th match minute, Legion 501st was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Abrahamsohn to maneuver through the defense. Adriano Antúnez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes in the game, Eduard Zárate fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Christiano Koehler having to interfere. Christiano Koehler made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Adriano Antúnez sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Zárate in the 74th minute of play forced Legion 501st's goalkeeper Christiano Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had been going on for 79 minutes, Melosas AFC's Victor Magallanes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Christiano Koehler. Teofilio Narea kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. When Celedonio Abrahamsohn fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legion 501st's protests and gave Celedonio Abrahamsohn a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Legion 501st got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Abrahamsohn. Christiano Koehler was a little too slow when Eduard Zárate got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 2-3. Adriano Antúnez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Christiano Koehler made a huge save. After 96 minutes, Ruperto Bulboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Legion 501st and the Melosas AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Ruperto Bulboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Melosas AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
