The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Salvatore Acasuso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the hdp and the Mullure AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Salvatore Acasuso kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Pere Ahumada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Victoriano having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Fidel Barahona was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mullure AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave hdp the free kick. 12 minutes into the match, Mullure AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Fath came free, but Ceferino Lizondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Mullure AFC's Edilberto Toro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Edilberto Toro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mullure AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Edilberto Toro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Mullure AFC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Edilberto Toro hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Bruno Ducci made a precise shot to the right of Pablo Victoriano. hdp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as hdp's Tomás Fath slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ceferino Lizondo. That made the score 1-1 after 22 minutes of play. Baudelio Saso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ceferino Lizondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mullure AFC's Pere Ahumada got a free kick in the 26th minute. Juan Pedro Maggi charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Pedro Maggi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mullure AFC's Ceferino Lizondo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Mullure AFC from getting a goal against them. Baudelio Saso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 36th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ceferino Lizondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Fath in the 38th minute of the match. Pablo Victoriano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Burgos, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After some careless play in the hdp defense, Bruno Ducci kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pablo Victoriano. The hdp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pablo Victoriano should have stopped the shot. Eleazar Marinovic shot from long distance in the 47th minute, but Ceferino Lizondo was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baudelio Saso to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Mullure AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Ducci. When Pere Ahumada fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mullure AFC's protests and gave Pere Ahumada a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mullure AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Pere Ahumada hit a great ball. Baudelio Saso charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baudelio Saso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Baudelio Saso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aureo Farfán hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Jimeno Burgos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pablo Victoriano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After a rather tough play, Mullure AFC's Juan Pedro Maggi got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Leovigildo Villar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baudelio Saso scored 2-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ceferino Lizondo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Ducci in the 81st minute of play forced hdp's goalkeeper Pablo Victoriano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd match minute, hdp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureo Farfán to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, hdp's goalkeeper Pablo Victoriano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jimeno Burgos. After a rather tough play, hdp's Rogelio Castelblanco got a free kick in the 85th minute. Jimeno Burgos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Victoriano having to interfere. In the 89th play minute Bruno Ducci came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pablo Victoriano. 2-4. Bruno Ducci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Pablo Victoriano made a huge save. A collision led to hdp getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Baltazar Arriaran hit a great ball. Mullure AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
