Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Máximo Astorga started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Oliva got free with Juan Rosseman in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miquel Waiben took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepe Díaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Máximo Astorga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Rosseman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Máximo Astorga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Juan Rosseman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Roman Ixidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miquel Waiben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Rosseman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceandro Mannhardt in the 15th minute of play. Juan Rosseman was a little too slow when Arnoldo Oliva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. 28 minutes into the game, Máximo Astorga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Excurses Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportivo Maipú the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Excurses Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Máximo Astorga to maneuver through the defense. Arnoldo Oliva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Juan Rosseman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Roman Ixidor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, Máximo Astorga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Rosseman. Máximo Astorga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 42nd minute, Máximo Astorga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Excurses Team fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pepe Díaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Excurses Team's Máximo Astorga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juan Rosseman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After having played for 61 minutes, Máximo Astorga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Excurses Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Máximo Astorga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Maipú's goal looked a bit too open when Ceandro Mannhardt came free, but Juan Rosseman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mark Amthauer during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 72 played minutes Club Deportivo Maipú got a freekick which was hit by Mark Amthauer. A collision led to Excurses Team getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Emilio Felipe Subercaseaux hit a great ball. The supporters of Club Deportivo Maipú booed when Excurses Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolomé Goncalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manuel Grez didn't quite understand what happened when in the 81 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo Maipú defense, Máximo Astorga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Rosseman. The Club Deportivo Maipú fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Rosseman should have stopped the shot. Mark Amthauer kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st match minute, Club Deportivo Maipú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Manuel Grez to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Excurses Team had won after a very even match.
