The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Halil Okaner put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ferrán De Gavardo. Ferrán De Gavardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Halil Okaner went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Halil Okaner put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ferrán De Gavardo. Halil Okaner struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ferrán De Gavardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araucampeón Retirado. Halil Okaner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cerro Negro FC's Ferrán De Gavardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Halil Okaner in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerro Negro FC's goalkeeper Ferrán De Gavardo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Bruno Kevad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferrán De Gavardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Halil Okaner went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Halil Okaner took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferrán De Gavardo. Ferrán De Gavardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Ferrán De Gavardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Halil Okaner, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Moisés Villarroel might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferrán De Gavardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moisés Villarroel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 48th minute, Halil Okaner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Araucampeón Retirado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Disappointed in the 0-9 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Halil Okaner to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Araucampeón Retirado's Halil Okaner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-10. In the 65th minute, Araucampeón Retirado's Halil Okaner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ferrán De Gavardo. Ferrán De Gavardo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. Cerro Negro FC's Ferrán De Gavardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Berbiz in the 69th minute of play. When Juan Pedro Brunet fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerro Negro FC's protests and gave Juan Pedro Brunet a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cerro Negro FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Juan Pedro Brunet hit a great ball. Halil Okaner scored 0-13 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferrán De Gavardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute, Halil Okaner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferrán De Gavardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-14. 80 minutes into the game, Roman Berbiz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-15. Ferrán De Gavardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 85 minutes of play, Araucampeón Retirado's Moisés Villarroel made it 0-16 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferrán De Gavardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roman Berbiz in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ferrán De Gavardo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ferrán De Gavardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Halil Okaner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes into the match, Moisés Villarroel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferrán De Gavardo. Cerro Negro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moisés Villarroel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-17. Araucampeón Retirado played a much better game than Cerro Negro FC and deserved their victory. The Cerro Negro FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
