After a rather tough play, Juampi Coparao FC's Erasmo Bazaes got a free kick in the 7th minute. Victor Hugo Guillestegui kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Sebastián Gaviño blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Katalinic having to make a save. The supporters of Sacaya booed when Juampi Coparao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Troncoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geofredo Larraona made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Ceandro Albis sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the game, Juampi Coparao FC's Mariano Valderas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nestor Katalinic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ceandro Albis got free with Geofredo Larraona in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juampi Coparao FC's Geofredo Larraona proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Juampi Coparao FC from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute Gilberto Costabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geofredo Larraona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Katalinic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liberto Abumohor in the 34th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Juampi Coparao FC got a freekick which was hit by Albin Davalos. When Ceandro Albis came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Sacaya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceandro Albis couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Gaviño in the 46th minute of play forced Sacaya's goalkeeper Nestor Katalinic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Valderas to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Mariano Valderas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nestor Katalinic was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, Erasmo Bazaes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sacaya's Nestor Katalinic. After 87 minutes, Omar Troncoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juampi Coparao FC and the Sacaya players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, Omar Troncoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Katalinic made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Valderas in the 93rd minute. If Mariano Valderas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the match, Sacaya's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Valderas came free, but Nestor Katalinic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Juampi Coparao FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
