Barni Raineri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roy Bareyre having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicent Larrañaga during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Archibaldo Dávila fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guindos's protests and gave Archibaldo Dávila a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Guindos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archibaldo Dávila to maneuver through the defense. If Demetrio Ducci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Carlo Enríquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Ducci in the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, EL CHIVO F.C.'s Barni Raineri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barni Raineri to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Guindos got a freekick which was hit by Xacobo Bauzá. In the 55th minute, Xacobo Bauzá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Héctor David Chirinos managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL CHIVO F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Héctor David Chirinos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roy Bareyre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guindos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! The supporters of EL CHIVO F.C. booed when Guindos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicent Larrañaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes Guindos got a freekick which was hit by Xacobo Bauzá. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guindos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for EL CHIVO F.C..
