Blanquillo AFC's Fortunato Tocornal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the match, EL CHIVO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Marco came free, but Carlo Enríquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eulalio Mitrovich made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Blanquillo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Oroeta to maneuver through the defense. Héctor David Chirinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blanquillo AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Barni Raineri 61 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Carlo Enríquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Mitrovich, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Natalio Aizpuru hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Pedro Aylwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fortunato Tocornal made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Héctor David Chirinos sent off a good shot on target. Carlo Enríquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Marco in the 83rd minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Blanquillo AFC's Eulalio Mitrovich nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlo Enríquez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
