Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Enrique Mariano Mac Kay got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Naelio Pena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sagbara AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 6th match minute, Larmahue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Mariano Mendieta to maneuver through the defense. After 12 played minutes Larmahue got a freekick which was hit by Lolo Leyton. 13 minutes into the game, Joel Orostegui cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mercurio Aristizaval was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Larmahue's Mercurio Aristizaval played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Orostegui in the 17th minute of play. Lucio Jose María Bernal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Renato Cavareda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Joel Orostegui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sagbara AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Orostegui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Naelio Pena took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mercurio Aristizaval. Mercurio Aristizaval dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Mariano Mac Kay during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Larmahue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Mariano Mac Kay to maneuver through the defense. Mercurio Aristizaval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naelio Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Mercurio Aristizaval didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Demetrio Portusagasti went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. When Sagbara AFC's Joel Orostegui in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Larmahue's goalie prevented a goal. When Naelio Pena came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Sagbara AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naelio Pena couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Larmahue's Eder Bocanegra got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Sagbara AFC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Orostegui made a kick off. Renato Cavareda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Jose María Bernal in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Larmahue getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Isadoro Castex hit a great ball. Renato Cavareda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucio Jose María Bernal's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the game, José Alejandro Bulnes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sagbara AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Larmahue the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Enrique Mariano Mac Kay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Larmahue's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Mariano Mac Kay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renato Cavareda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sagbara AFC booed when Larmahue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lolo Leyton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Larmahue's goalkeeper Mercurio Aristizaval, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Larmahue's zone, Joel Orostegui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mercurio Aristizaval came out of the goal and Joel Orostegui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elodio Bulnes got free with Mercurio Aristizaval in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, one of Larmahue:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Larmahue. If Enrique Mariano Mac Kay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes Sagbara AFC got a freekick which was hit by José Alejandro Bulnes. Joel Orostegui received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mercurio Aristizaval came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Orostegui slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 93rd minute. Lucio Jose María Bernal struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Renato Cavareda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Larmahue.
