Spectators: 7983 (Terracing: 5988, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carlos Saúl Marzi took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Quintán Millape came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the EL GITANO- F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quintán Millape couldn't finish the play. 4 minutes into the match, Sotaqui FC's Pedro Tomás Monroy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salamón Ardiles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Saúl Marzi in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salamón Ardiles saved EL GITANO- F.C from getting behind. Candido Faverau received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jerzy Kapera came out and tried to block the shot, but Candido Faverau slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Tomás Monroy in the 14th minute of play forced EL GITANO- F.C's goalkeeper Salamón Ardiles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salamón Ardiles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Saúl Marzi went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 20 minutes, Quintán Millape managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL GITANO- F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quintán Millape was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salamón Ardiles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Tomás Monroy in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, EL GITANO- F.C's Markus Bautista got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some careless play in the EL GITANO- F.C defense, Pedro Tomás Monroy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salamón Ardiles. The EL GITANO- F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salamón Ardiles should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Sotaqui FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Pedro Tomás Monroy hit a great ball. With a little luck, Sotaqui FC's Jerzy Kapera got control of the ball when Candido Faverau tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salamón Ardiles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Tomás Monroy, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jerzy Kapera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Faverau in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd play minute Angelino Portes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jerzy Kapera. 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Candido Faverau made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Emilio Felipe Tocornal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Jerzy Kapera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sotaqui FC's Carlos Saúl Marzi got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Quintán Millape managed to get in a good position for a shot. EL GITANO- F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Quintán Millape was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerzy Kapera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Tomás Monroy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Salamón Ardiles made a huge save. Sotaqui FC were furious when Justino Swett was red carded, 67 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Jerzy Kapera had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Candido Faverau's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Quintán Millape came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the EL GITANO- F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quintán Millape couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Sotaqui FC's Pedro Tomás Monroy dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. In the 89th minute, Angelino Portes made a precise shot to the right of Jerzy Kapera. Sotaqui FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. In the 94th minute, Quintán Millape made a precise shot to the right of Jerzy Kapera. Sotaqui FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-3. Emilio Felipe Tocornal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. EL GITANO- F.C had won after a very even match.
