The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ariel Nicoletti during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Pichare defense, Clemencín Arriagada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naelio Dubornais. The Pichare fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naelio Dubornais should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamín Aichele in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naelio Dubornais saved Pichare from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manolo Súnico got free with Pau Acharan in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pichare's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
