Pere Basanguren made a great header on Shielifield United's corner, it was just that Tommyneitor's Nicolas Vega managed to reach the ball for a save. After 46 played minutes, Shielifield United's Aris Zisis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicolas Vega came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shielifield United reached it. Tommyneitor's Nicolas Vega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pere Basanguren in the 47th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Alonso Barreau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tommyneitor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shielifield United the free kick. A collision led to Tommyneitor getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Alonso Barreau hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
