Spectators: 8001 (Terracing: 6009, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eliazar Guajardo kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute Eliazar Guajardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanton Faulkner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marino Somoza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Plaza in the 12th minute of play. Marino Somoza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermegildo Plaza's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 27th minute, Juan Jose Deppe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marino Somoza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Martino Ureta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marino Somoza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Jose Deppe, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Martino Ureta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Stanton Faulkner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Héctor Eastman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MERIDA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrancas CF the free kick. In the 47th minute, Héctor Eastman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The MERIDA FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Barrancas CF were winning 0-1.

MERIDA FC's Arnau Faure got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerardo Mellado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stanton Faulkner. Barrancas CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Barrancas CF booed when MERIDA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rexino Ward didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, MERIDA FC's Marino Somoza got control of the ball when Juan Jose Deppe tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ermegildo Plaza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 68th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 72ndth minute of the game Eliazar Guajardo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrancas CF's Stanton Faulkner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rexino Ward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanton Faulkner having to interfere. Barrancas CF's Stanton Faulkner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliazar Guajardo in the 79th minute of play. Ariano Arellano hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Martino Ureta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Stanton Faulkner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evelio Llamllam kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Barrancas CF got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Zambrano. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Martino Ureta managed to get in a good position for a shot. MERIDA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martino Ureta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanton Faulkner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 94 played minutes MERIDA FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnau Faure. Ariano Arellano kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
