Martino Ureta took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolas Vega. Nicolas Vega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rubén Vallejos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Marino Somoza made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubén Vallejos in the 40th minute of play forced MERIDA FC's goalkeeper Marino Somoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes, MERIDA FC's Nestor Garzón shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicolas Vega came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MERIDA FC reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Martino Ureta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Nicolas Vega made a huge save. Nicolas Vega came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by MERIDA FC's Martino Ureta. But to his dismay, Martino Ureta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Paulín Larraguibel charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulín Larraguibel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulín Larraguibel kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Marino Somoza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonso Barreau in the 62nd minute of the match. After 66 played minutes Tommyneitor got a freekick which was hit by Esteban José Sastre. Paulín Larraguibel might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Vega. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulín Larraguibel ran back to his position shaking his head. With 74 minutes on the clock, Nestor Garzón commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Tommyneitor booed when MERIDA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Garzón didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubén Vallejos in the 78th minute of play forced MERIDA FC's goalkeeper Marino Somoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Levi Ackerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Marino Somoza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Martino Ureta managed to get in a good position for a shot. MERIDA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martino Ureta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Vega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubén Vallejos in the 85th minute of play forced MERIDA FC's goalkeeper Marino Somoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Rubén Vallejos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marino Somoza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marino Somoza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonso Barreau in the 91st minute of the match.
