Val Leal's late challenge caught a Adventistas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Val Leal helped the player get up and apologised. Val Leal hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 5 minutes, Hermelando Floto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Adventistas FC and the Football Fortress players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Football Fortress booed when Adventistas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermelando Floto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Adventistas FC's goalkeeper José Ignacio Vives had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Efraín Bafalluy. 10 minutes into the match, Adventistas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Val Leal came free, but José Ignacio Vives reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 minutes of play Adventistas FC's Hermelando Floto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 13 played minutes Adventistas FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermelando Floto. Val Leal was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 23 played minutes Football Fortress got a freekick which was hit by Val Leal. In the 27th minute, Roman Jaunti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Roman Jaunti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Roman Jaunti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adventistas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Jaunti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Eleysegui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Jaunti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If André Linge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roman Jaunti made a kick off. If Efraín Bafalluy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Football Fortress's zone, Roman Jaunti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eleuterio Eleysegui came out of the goal and Roman Jaunti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Roman Jaunti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adventistas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roman Jaunti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roman Jaunti struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Eleuterio Eleysegui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adventistas FC. José Ignacio Vives showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efraín Bafalluy, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Filomeno Nuñez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. José Ignacio Vives was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roman Jaunti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eleuterio Eleysegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Roman Jaunti came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Adventistas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roman Jaunti couldn't finish the play. Efraín Bafalluy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Ignacio Vives having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Football Fortress was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Nuñez to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Adventistas FC's André Linge got a free kick in the 91st minute. Adventistas FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
