Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Enrico Finlay started the match with the kick off. Arturo Pedraza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viviano Bolados, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 6 played minutes Universidad Catolica got a freekick which was hit by Javier Cunningham. When Adelmo Andrada came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Caracha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adelmo Andrada couldn't finish the play. Enrico Finlay did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Arturo Pedraza 11 minutes into the match. Caracha's Enrico Finlay got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 16 minutes of play, Caracha's Enrico Finlay made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arturo Pedraza was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th play minute Anastasio Soto Tapia came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arturo Pedraza. 3-0. 23 minutes into the match, Universidad Catolica's goalkeeper Arturo Pedraza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nemesio Bacquet. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruesga Carter during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Caracha booed when Universidad Catolica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruesga Carter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nemesio Bacquet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Pedraza having to interfere. After some careless play in the Caracha defense, Javier Cunningham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hipolito Mosquera. The Caracha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hipolito Mosquera should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute Adelmo Andrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Pedraza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Raúlo Montoya reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arturo Pedraza. The goal made the score 4-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvestre Fehrman made a kick off. Jose Esteban Píriz hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 56 played minutes Universidad Catolica got a freekick which was hit by Jose Esteban Píriz. In the 58th minute Nemesio Bacquet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Pedraza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Enrico Finlay notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Universidad Catolica's Arturo Pedraza. Arturo Pedraza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Enrico Finlay sped through Universidad Catolica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arturo Pedraza. Enrico Finlay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Arturo Pedraza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Xabel Amesti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Pedraza was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. When Caracha's Enrico Finlay in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Universidad Catolica's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Enrico Finlay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arturo Pedraza was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. When the referee ended the match the Caracha players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
