Lander Basualto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şükrü Erek having to interfere. FUTBOL CLUB CHILOE UNIDOS's Şükrü Erek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save FUTBOL CLUB CHILOE UNIDOS from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, FUTBOL CLUB CHILOE UNIDOS's goal looked a bit too open when Lander Basualto came free, but Şükrü Erek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rollo Gavilán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Zañartu in the 40th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Duao's goal looked a bit too open when Teddy Goleš came free, but Rollo Gavilán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duao's Rollo Gavilán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teddy Goleš in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lander Basualto made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Leopoldo Zañartu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FUTBOL CLUB CHILOE UNIDOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Zañartu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rollo Gavilán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Duao's zone, Emmanuel Antoine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rollo Gavilán came out of the goal and Emmanuel Antoine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FUTBOL CLUB CHILOE UNIDOS's Leopoldo Zañartu got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Zañartu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Rollo Gavilán when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 72nd minute Teddy Goleš shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rollo Gavilán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 minutes, Moisés Carrión mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duao and the FUTBOL CLUB CHILOE UNIDOS players grew even worse after the yellow card. FUTBOL CLUB CHILOE UNIDOS's Emiliano Pardow was substituted for Leopoldo Zañartu. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. Rollo Gavilán stood somewhat misplaced when Teddy Goleš came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 85 minute. After a rather tough play, Duao's Asier Fuentealba got a free kick in the 90th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Emmanuel Antoine could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Rollo Gavilán however easily saved by the left post. When the match was over FUTBOL CLUB CHILOE UNIDOS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Duao throughout the match.
