Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lander Basualto started the match with the kick off. Topocho Ayarza's late challenge caught a Valle Verde FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Topocho Ayarza helped the player get up and apologised. Topocho Ayarza hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Rollo Gavilán came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Valle Verde FC's Patricio Espina. But to his dismay, Patricio Espina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 13th minute, one of Duao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Duao. The referee gave Valle Verde FC a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Laureano Acosta, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Duao's Rollo Gavilán. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Patricio Espina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rollo Gavilán was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Isidoro Semell in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Duao's Topocho Ayarza. Silvio Bacigalupo made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Moisés Carrión immediately put the ball in play. Lander Basualto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Frédéric Chopin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Elgueta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valle Verde FC's Patricio Espina got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Isidoro Semell in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Duao's Topocho Ayarza. Álvaro Yanque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rollo Gavilán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Valle Verde FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patricio Espina was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Topocho Ayarza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laureano Acosta might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rollo Gavilán. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laureano Acosta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 53rd minute, Topocho Ayarza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Valle Verde FC fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Valle Verde FC's Patricio Espina looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Valle Verde FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Carlos Alberto Lamas hit a great ball. Patricio Espina in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rollo Gavilán, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rollo Gavilán was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Espina showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 68 minute of play. The supporters of Duao booed when Valle Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laureano Zambrano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Topocho Ayarza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Duao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Topocho Ayarza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francisco Antonio Aldana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rollo Gavilán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Rondón, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The Valle Verde FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
