The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Guanguali's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Leal came free, but Marcel Menart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giancarlo Vela's late challenge caught a Franco canadience's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giancarlo Vela helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Guanguali's Giancarlo Vela got a free kick in the 11th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guanguali's zone, Benjamín Squella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Menart came out of the goal and Benjamín Squella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guanguali's Marcel Menart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Leal in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Franco canadience's Aníbal Señoret sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcel Menart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute Diego Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Menart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Guanguali's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Señoret came free, but Marcel Menart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute, Giancarlo Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Franco canadience booed when Guanguali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentín Vicencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcel Menart came out of the goal and Benjamín Squella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Guanguali getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Damián Encina hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes Guanguali got a freekick which was hit by Milián Ortuzar. In the 40th minute of the match Tobías Aramayo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcel Menart skillfully saved the ball. When Gaspar Barraza fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Franco canadience's protests and gave Gaspar Barraza a yellow card for diving instead. Gaspar Barraza hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After the first half Franco canadience were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marcel Menart didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 56th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Franco canadience's Marc Abrigo was substituted for Tobías Aramayo. If Aníbal Señoret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, Guanguali's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Señoret came free, but Marcel Menart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Antonio Quilodrán lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 67th match minute, Guanguali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Antonio Quilodrán to maneuver through the defense. Marcel Menart came out of the goal and Carlos Saúl Cid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Guanguali's Josué Iriberry got a free kick in the 71st minute. Aníbal Señoret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Marcel Menart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Guanguali's zone, Aníbal Señoret stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Menart came out of the goal and Aníbal Señoret tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franco canadience's Marc Abrigo got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guanguali's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Benjamín Squella 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Aníbal Señoret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamín Squella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Marcel Menart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franco canadience's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
