Bernardino Barria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adelino Garnham's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Magdaleno Goyeneche struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Marcel Menart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CF Nacional. When Edgar Daldos fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Nacional's protests and gave Edgar Daldos a yellow card for diving instead. Edgar Daldos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Guanguali's Marcel Menart got control of the ball when Regino Urruticoechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Enzo Anders dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcel Menart, 1-0. 45 minutes into the game, Adelino Garnham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guanguali's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF Nacional the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Guanguali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Garnham to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Guanguali's Marcel Menart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Anders in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Patxi Echandia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guanguali's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CF Nacional the free kick. Patxi Echandia kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Inocente Ayerdi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Guanguali's zone, Enzo Anders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Menart came out of the goal and Enzo Anders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guanguali's Marcel Menart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magdaleno Goyeneche in the 68th minute of play. Marcel Menart came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by CF Nacional's Enzo Anders. But to his dismay, Enzo Anders quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Marcel Menart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magdaleno Goyeneche in the 93rd minute of the match.
