In the 9th match minute, Nopoche was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Gajardo to maneuver through the defense. Serafín Parrasia struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Sun De Ting didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deporte Provincial Osorno. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zavier Conde in the 19th minute of play forced Deporte Provincial Osorno's goalkeeper Claudio Bravo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Nopoche made a substitution. Andoni Avilés replaced Demetrio Elorreaga. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ismael Major to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Deporte Provincial Osorno's goalkeeper Claudio Bravo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zavier Conde. The Nopoche supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nopoche would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
