Galles FC's Roman Oester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cresenciano Landea in the 15th minute of play. Aldo Dibarrart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Durango in the 20th minute. Aldo Dibarrart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Durango in the 21st minute of the match. Atlético Norte's Adrián Izarra got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Igor Tassara during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Galles FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Norte the free kick. In the 30th match minute, Galles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rómulo Quesada to maneuver through the defense. Roman Oester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Tassara in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Oñez y Loyola in the 39th minute of play forced Galles FC's goalkeeper Roman Oester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrián Izarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Oester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cresenciano Landea was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Rómulo Marcou mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galles FC and the Atlético Norte players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Galles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rómulo Marcou to maneuver through the defense. Atlético Norte's Carlos Hernán Jeréz got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 57th minute of the match Rómulo Marcou completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rómulo Marcou a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Igor Tassara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldo Alviña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Atlético Norte booed when Galles FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Marco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Cresenciano Landea notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Galles FC's Roman Oester. Roman Oester was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alejandro Conejeros hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Ruperto Arratia kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Galles FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ruperto Arratia hit a great ball. Cresenciano Landea scored 0-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roman Oester, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 86th minute, Cresenciano Landea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when Marcos Valenzuela put in a rough tackle. Marcos Valenzuela kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Carlos Hernán Jeréz came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Atlético Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Hernán Jeréz couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Galles FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Arratia. After a rather tough play, Atlético Norte's Adrián Izarra got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
