Aldo Dibarrart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salvador Droste in the 4th minute. The supporters of Antofazul FC booed when Atlético Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Alberto Marchetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute Salvador Droste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Dibarrart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Tassara in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grueso Artaza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aldo Dibarrart was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Salvador Droste capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Salvador Droste really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 19 minutes into the game, Lauro Gallardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aldo Dibarrart. Lauro Gallardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 22 minutes into the match, Atlético Norte's goalkeeper Aldo Dibarrart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Álvaro Orsterhont. In the 29th minute Igor Tassara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grueso Artaza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Atlético Norte getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Zenón Novajas hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Salvador Droste ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aldo Dibarrart was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After a rather tough play, Atlético Norte's Zenón Novajas got a free kick in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Salvador Droste to strike the kick off in the second half. Zenón Novajas's late challenge caught a Antofazul FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zenón Novajas helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes Atlético Norte got a freekick which was hit by Zenón Novajas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Droste in the 61st minute of play forced Atlético Norte's goalkeeper Aldo Dibarrart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes of play Atlético Norte's Zenón Novajas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Zenón Novajas hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Antofazul FC's zone, Carlos Hernán Jeréz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grueso Artaza came out of the goal and Carlos Hernán Jeréz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Atlético Norte defense, Lauro Gallardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aldo Dibarrart. The Atlético Norte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aldo Dibarrart should have stopped the shot. Antofazul FC made a substitution. Raimundo Niza replaced Enzo Edwards. If Filiberto Oñez y Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Grueso Artaza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Tassara in the 76th minute of play. Grueso Artaza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Tassara in the 77th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Francisco Alberto Marchetti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonatán Marco struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Aldo Dibarrart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Antofazul FC. The supporters of Antofazul FC booed when Atlético Norte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrián Izarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldo Dibarrart came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Antofazul FC's Eufemio Hesler. But to his dismay, Eufemio Hesler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atlético Norte players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Antofazul FC.
