The TACOSA fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when TACOSA's Robinho Cosme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafín Mutis in the 13th minute of play forced Universidad de Chile's goalkeeper Juan Estevan Gerbella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Robinho Cosme put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Estevan Gerbella. 庞扬景 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan Estevan Gerbella didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafín Mutis went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Universidad de Chile defense, Serafín Mutis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Estevan Gerbella. The Universidad de Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Estevan Gerbella should have stopped the shot. Juan Estevan Gerbella came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by TACOSA's Manuel Neira. But to his dismay, Manuel Neira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robinho Cosme in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Estevan Gerbella saved Universidad de Chile from getting behind. 47 minutes into the match, Universidad de Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Cosme came free, but Juan Estevan Gerbella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Manuel Neira made a precise shot to the right of Juan Estevan Gerbella. Universidad de Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-9.

Juan Estevan Gerbella made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Manuel Neira sent off a good shot on target. Robinho Cosme received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juan Estevan Gerbella came out and tried to block the shot, but Robinho Cosme slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 56th minute. In the 60th minute, Obafemi Martins reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juan Estevan Gerbella. The goal made the score 0-11. If Vicente Pernia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Universidad de Chile defense, Manuel Neira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Estevan Gerbella. The Universidad de Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Estevan Gerbella should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Universidad de Chile's zone, Obafemi Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Estevan Gerbella came out of the goal and Obafemi Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. TACOSA's Obafemi Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Neira came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Juan Estevan Gerbella could save by the left post. A collision led to Universidad de Chile getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Evelio Bulboa hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Robinho Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Estevan Gerbella made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Manuel Neira sent off a good shot on target. Universidad de Chile's Juan Estevan Gerbella proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Universidad de Chile from getting a goal against them. Juan Estevan Gerbella came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by TACOSA's Juan Estevan Camilo. But to his dismay, Juan Estevan Camilo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-13. After a rather tough play, TACOSA's Moisés Almendros got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the match was over TACOSA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Universidad de Chile throughout the match.
