The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Aníbal Veliz made a precise shot to the right of Geofredo Abarza. Imperio fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Marco Mistral might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geofredo Abarza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Mistral ran back to his position shaking his head. 7 minutes into the match, PROTON F.C.'s Marco Mistral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geofredo Abarza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Imperio fc booed when PROTON F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bautista Cross didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th play minute Enric Blanch came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Geofredo Abarza. 2-0. Geofredo Abarza made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Aníbal Veliz sent off a good shot on target. After 22 played minutes PROTON F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Báez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Fontaner in the 24th minute of play forced PROTON F.C.'s goalkeeper Taka Levidze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Arcadio Alzerreca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taka Levidze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Mistral had several of the Imperio fc's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Geofredo Abarza as he didn't even see the shot coming. Geofredo Abarza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enric Blanch showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 33 minute of play. If Marco Mistral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enric Blanch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Geofredo Abarza made a huge save. Geofredo Abarza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Mistral went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Mistral to strike the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Fortunato Mira in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PROTON F.C.'s Luis Alberto Dagnino. Geofredo Abarza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enric Blanch in the 54th minute of the match. After 57th play minutes Enric Blanch shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Geofredo Abarza and just under the crossbar into goal. Geofredo Abarza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Mistral's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Ángel Matamala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd match minute, Imperio fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fortunato Mira to maneuver through the defense. Marco Mistral struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Geofredo Abarza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PROTON F.C.. Jeronimo Fontaner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Taka Levidze made a huge save. Marco Mistral scored 9-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geofredo Abarza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Imperio fc's zone, Enric Blanch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geofredo Abarza came out of the goal and Enric Blanch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taka Levidze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arcadio Alzerreca in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Marco Mistral notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of Imperio fc's Geofredo Abarza. Geofredo Abarza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
