Saint Sophia's Nedas Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Ossandon in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Saint Sophia's Higinio Quiroz got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Diego Marinkovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saint Sophia's Nedas Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Ossandon in the 19th minute of play. MFD Eindhoven's Dagoberto Cameno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Marinkovic in the 23rd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Alberto Lerga to make the kick off. The supporters of MFD Eindhoven booed when Saint Sophia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Quiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Quiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Cameno having to interfere. With a little luck, Saint Sophia's Nedas Gol got control of the ball when Raphael Kendall tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Bo Björklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Alberto Lerga in the 74th minute of play forced Saint Sophia's goalkeeper Nedas Gol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
