Drahoslav Putna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alcadio Garachena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, TAVHIK FC's Federico Oalo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laureano Domínguez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes in the game Cerilo Barriga did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Florencio Parot. In the 23rd minute León Telaeche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Domínguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to TAVHIK FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Zenón Colipi hit a great ball. Laureano Domínguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Oalo in the 29th minute of the match. Amancio Gana hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, EL RUBIO FC's goal looked a bit too open when León Telaeche came free, but Laureano Domínguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Federico Oalo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laureano Domínguez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After 45 played minutes EL RUBIO FC got a freekick which was hit by Visen Magnolfi. In the 46th minute, León Telaeche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Federico Oalo made the kick off in the second half. Federico Oalo might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laureano Domínguez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Federico Oalo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 53rd minute of the match Zenón Colipi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laureano Domínguez skillfully saved the ball. Alvar Schroeders hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, Federico Oalo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Laureano Domínguez. Federico Oalo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcadio Garachena in the 65th minute of play forced TAVHIK FC's goalkeeper Drahoslav Putna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Alvar Schroeders was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TAVHIK FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL RUBIO FC the free kick. A collision led to TAVHIK FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Alvar Schroeders hit a great ball. León Telaeche blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laureano Domínguez having to make a save. In the 70th minute, Simon Alvarez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laureano Domínguez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Simon Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Federico Oalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of EL RUBIO FC booed when TAVHIK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Alfonso Grille didn't get a good kick on the ball. Federico Oalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Rivadeneira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Laureano Domínguez. EL RUBIO FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Federico Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. TAVHIK FC's attentive Marcos Rivadeneira managed to snatch the ball when Juan Eduardo Montesinos made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, EL RUBIO FC's Amancio Gana got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. TAVHIK FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
