An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Ciceron in the 36th minute of play forced EL HISTORIADOR FC.'s goalkeeper Alex Banderas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Jose Miguel Quintano a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Holmes FC booed when EL HISTORIADOR FC. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Miguel Quintano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Eduardo Paskal kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Holmes FC got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Barrueto. After a rather tough play, EL HISTORIADOR FC.'s Sandro Paravic got a free kick in the 66th minute. EL HISTORIADOR FC.'s Alex Banderas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Ciceron in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Paskal in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Banderas saved EL HISTORIADOR FC. from getting behind. In the 75th minute Sandro Paravic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Marcelo Noé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match EL HISTORIADOR FC. got a corner. Holmes FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Niguel Aninat ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on EL HISTORIADOR FC.'s corner Niguel Aninat fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and José Marcelo Noé quite easily take care of the ball. Alex Banderas was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lorenzo Barrueto. Alex Banderas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Ciceron in the 82nd minute of the match. Eduardo Paskal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Bayron Solis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holmes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bayron Solis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Banderas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Holmes FC's José Marcelo Noé played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Mariano Langdon in the 88th minute of play. If Enrique Mariano Langdon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bayron Solis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
