Bernardo Ciceron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Máximo Baesler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Bayron Solis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holmes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bayron Solis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Máximo Baesler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Apolo Galdames during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Apolo Galdames kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Léo da Fonseca sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Máximo Baesler threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Léo da Fonseca this time. Bernardo Ciceron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrico Cavada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Máximo Baesler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Ciceron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Holmes FC's Ermegildo Bolocco shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Máximo Baesler but with some difficulty. In the 38th match minute, Holmes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Washington Baracaldo to maneuver through the defense. After 53 minutes 1868's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ermegildo Bolocco who took care of the corner kick. Máximo Baesler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bayron Solis, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the match, Eduardo Paskal notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of 1868's Máximo Baesler. Máximo Baesler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eduardo Paskal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máximo Baesler having to interfere. After 74 played minutes, Holmes FC's Léo da Fonseca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Máximo Baesler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Holmes FC reached it. Bernardo Ciceron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máximo Baesler having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Bernardo Ciceron made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. 1868's Máximo Baesler tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 85 minutes into the game, Holmes FC's Bernardo Ciceron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Máximo Baesler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 88 minutes into the game, Bernardo Ciceron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Máximo Baesler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Máximo Baesler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Ciceron in the 92nd minute of the match. Bayron Solis took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Máximo Baesler. Máximo Baesler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.
