Maurino Willis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Arnaldo Morandé made a huge save. After some careless play in the Tulachica FC defense, Gustavo Canales kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marian Dinulescu. The Tulachica FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marian Dinulescu should have stopped the shot. After 17 minutes, Gustavo Canales made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Tulachica FC's Marian Dinulescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th minute, Amador Muguertegui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20th play minutes Gustavo Canales shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Marian Dinulescu and just under the crossbar into goal. VERDE NILO's Arnaldo Morandé played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xalvador Risopatrón in the 24th minute of play. When VERDE NILO's Gustavo Canales in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tulachica FC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to VERDE NILO getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Lolo Saavedra hit a great ball. The supporters of VERDE NILO booed when Tulachica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Albano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo Canales in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marian Dinulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, Carlos Alberto Urrutia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marian Dinulescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maurino Willis was the one to do the kick off. Carlos Alberto Urrutia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Dinulescu having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Canales in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marian Dinulescu saved Tulachica FC from getting behind. Amador Muguertegui hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Charles Aranguiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Alberto Urrutia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Dinulescu having to interfere. When Ismael Ipinza fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tulachica FC's protests and gave Ismael Ipinza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd minute, Ismael Ipinza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Canales who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Marian Dinulescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. VERDE NILO's Román Potts was substituted for Carlos Saúl Arens. Marian Dinulescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto Urrutia in the 68th minute. The throw-in from Charles Aranguiz in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tulachica FC's Remigio Arrué. Amador Muguertegui charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amador Muguertegui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of VERDE NILO booed when Tulachica FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Muguertegui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Alberto Urrutia took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marian Dinulescu. Marian Dinulescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After 77 played minutes VERDE NILO got a freekick which was hit by Charles Aranguiz. Carlos Alberto Urrutia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Marian Dinulescu made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Tulachica FC's zone, Gustavo Canales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Dinulescu came out of the goal and Gustavo Canales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnaldo Morandé stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurino Willis's shot from short distance in the 89th minute.
