When Cosme Pfingsthorn fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo San Pedro's protests and gave Cosme Pfingsthorn a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Deportivo San Pedro got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Pfingsthorn. 6 minutes into the match, Challaserca's Clemente Montes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Deportivo San Pedro getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Sidnei Montenegro hit a great ball. In the 15th minute Eleazar Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boruc Pleban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Deportivo San Pedro's Horacio Jesus Vicencio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boruc Pleban made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lajos Koczka during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Challaserca's Lajos Koczka got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Buchi Yu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Maraman in the 26th minute of the match. Eleazar Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boruc Pleban having to interfere. Buchi Yu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lastur Mestanza in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Lastur Mestanza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Buchi Yu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Romeo Maraman took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Buchi Yu. Buchi Yu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Buchi Yu came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Challaserca's Romeo Maraman. But to his dismay, Romeo Maraman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Oliverio Moñiz hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lastur Mestanza got free with Buchi Yu in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Buchi Yu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Barahona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Buchi Yu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Maraman's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute Jonny McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Buchi Yu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lastur Mestanza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Buchi Yu came out and tried to block the shot, but Lastur Mestanza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 72nd minute. Jonny McNamara took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Buchi Yu. Buchi Yu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-7. Buchi Yu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Maraman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Deportivo San Pedro's Buchi Yu got control of the ball when Lastur Mestanza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Challaserca's Maule Crespo was substituted for Lastur Mestanza.
