Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Codruț Paraschivescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Universidad Catolica's Jardel das Neves suffered a sore thigh after 4 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 6th minute, Rodrigo Nordman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elazar Maggi kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Marquesas AFC were furious when Benjamín Pincheira was red carded, 11 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Marquesas AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Universidad Catolica:s goal. Elazar Alzerreca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Paraschivescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With his leg Saturnino Birila managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Marquesas AFC's Rodrigo Nordman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alifonso Cienfuegos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Saturnino Birila skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Alifonso Cienfuegos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elazar Alzerreca came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Universidad Catolica's Codruț Paraschivescu. But to his dismay, Codruț Paraschivescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 29th match minute, Marquesas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Nordman to maneuver through the defense. Hüsnü Besim kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Universidad Catolica's Saturnino Birila got control of the ball when Alifonso Cienfuegos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elazar Alzerreca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Paraschivescu in the 41st minute of play. When Universidad Catolica's Codruț Paraschivescu in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marquesas AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After 47 minutes of play, Universidad Catolica's Codruț Paraschivescu made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elazar Alzerreca was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alifonso Cienfuegos was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Universidad Catolica getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Elazar Maggi hit a great ball. Alifonso Cienfuegos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alifonso Cienfuegos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Birila having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Universidad Catolica's zone, Alifonso Cienfuegos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnino Birila came out of the goal and Alifonso Cienfuegos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Codruț Paraschivescus short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Elazar Alzerreca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Marquesas AFC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Erik Segarra hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codruț Paraschivescu in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elazar Alzerreca saved Marquesas AFC from getting behind. Elazar Alzerreca was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Desiderio Ponce. In the 83rd minute Guillermo Bolocco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elazar Alzerreca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alifonso Cienfuegos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Birila having to interfere. In the 88th minute Alifonso Cienfuegos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Birila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Codruț Paraschivescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Elazar Alzerreca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Universidad Catolica's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
