Spectators: 2000 (Terracing: 1000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Podador Raheiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Saturnino Birila came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Podador Raheiro. But to his dismay, Podador Raheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Podador Raheiro scored 0-2 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saturnino Birila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Universidad Catolica's Saturnino Birila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Podador Raheiro in the 9th minute of play. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Universidad Catolica's goalkeeper Saturnino Birila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Podador Raheiro notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Universidad Catolica's Saturnino Birila. Saturnino Birila was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Cristóbal Walton during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes Universidad Catolica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Cristóbal Walton. Saturnino Birila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Podador Raheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Podador Raheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saturnino Birila. Universidad Catolica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Podador Raheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Universidad Catolica's goalkeeper Saturnino Birila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Club Deportes Santa Cruz were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Universidad Catolica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gilberto Sandoval took the corner. When Podador Raheiro came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Podador Raheiro couldn't finish the play. Cerilo Huechun kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Gilberto Sandoval tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Podador Raheiro put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Saturnino Birila. In the 43rdth minute of the game Podador Raheiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Universidad Catolica's Saturnino Birila was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Gebhard. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Codruț Paraschivescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antonio Gorri kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Saturnino Birila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Zhi Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Yan Zhi Chuan had several of the Universidad Catolica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Saturnino Birila as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 65th minute, Yan Zhi Chuan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Saturnino Birila came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan. But to his dismay, Yan Zhi Chuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Yan Zhi Chuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saturnino Birila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute Club Deportes Santa Cruz were awarded a corner. Gilberto Sandoval went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Gilberto Sandoval was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Saturnino Birila in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Yan Zhi Chuan took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saturnino Birila. Saturnino Birila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. After 80 minutes Universidad Catolica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gilberto Sandoval who took care of the corner kick. Juan Estevan Hamdorf was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After a defensive mix-up in Universidad Catolica's zone, Shi Yuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnino Birila came out of the goal and Shi Yuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Universidad Catolica's goalkeeper Saturnino Birila, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Yan Zhi Chuan made a precise shot to the right of Saturnino Birila. Universidad Catolica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. Saturnino Birila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Zhi Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Yan Zhi Chuan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-12 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Saturnino Birila stood somewhat misplaced when Yan Zhi Chuan came free in front of goal and shot 0-13 to the left of him in the 94 minute. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
