The supporters of SANEANDO EL CLUB booed when Tuna Talcahuano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quintén Trouve didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SANEANDO EL CLUB's zone, Haroldo Larrauna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Marcelo Peebles came out of the goal and Haroldo Larrauna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Cisneros struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. José Marcelo Peebles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tuna Talcahuano. Milián Viel came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by SANEANDO EL CLUB's Iván Luis Feldman. But to his dismay, Iván Luis Feldman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Milián Viel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Luis Frias went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. Haroldo Larrauna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute of the match, Iván Luis Feldman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Milián Viel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 61st minute Rodolfo Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Marcelo Peebles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Quintén Trouve got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Eduardo Cauffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. SANEANDO EL CLUB's José Marcelo Peebles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Larrauna in the 68th minute of play. Milián Viel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juan Luis Frias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 71 minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tuna Talcahuano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SANEANDO EL CLUB the free kick. SANEANDO EL CLUB's Elear Rebolledo was substituted for Octavio Larraeta. A collision led to Tuna Talcahuano getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Rodolfo Fonseca hit a great ball. Celino Pretot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milián Viel having to interfere. When SANEANDO EL CLUB's Juan Luis Frias in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. José Marcelo Peebles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SANEANDO EL CLUB's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
