Sporting quilpue's Elias Evar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osasun Leys in the 19th minute of play. Enric Olaso's late challenge caught a Curicó-Unido's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enric Olaso helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Curicó-Unido booed when Sporting quilpue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osasun Leys received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elias Evar came out and tried to block the shot, but Osasun Leys slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 52nd minute. After 55th play minutes Román Hoefler shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Elias Evar and just under the crossbar into goal. Alexandre Matamala came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Elias Evar could save by the left post.
