In the 8thth minute of the game Alexandre Matamala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquesas AFC's Elazar Alzerreca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erik Segarra hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Osasun Leys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elazar Alzerreca having to interfere. Elazar Alzerreca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Matamala, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Alexandre Matamala succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After 22 minutes of play, Curicó-Unido's Osasun Leys made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elazar Alzerreca was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Curicó-Unido's Osasun Leys in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elazar Alzerreca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexandre Matamala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elazar Alzerreca having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Matamala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elazar Alzerreca was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the match, Marquesas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Osasun Leys came free, but Elazar Alzerreca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Marquesas AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Curicó-Unido were winning 0-3.

When Rodrigo Nordman fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marquesas AFC's protests and gave Rodrigo Nordman a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Marquesas AFC's Rodrigo Nordman got a free kick in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Matamala got free with Elazar Alzerreca in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marquesas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hipolito Angeloni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. When Osasun Leys came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Curicó-Unido fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osasun Leys couldn't finish the play. Elazar Alzerreca stood somewhat misplaced when Osasun Leys came free in front of goal and shot 0-8 to the left of him in the 81 minute. Hipolito Angeloni who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Elazar Alzerreca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 0-9 became the score in the 86th minute when Hipolito Angeloni elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 95th minute Alifonso Cienfuegos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lameirinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Curicó-Unido's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
