The tension between the Tuna Talcahuano and the Marquesas AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 7 played minutes Tuna Talcahuano got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Fonseca. After a defensive mix-up in Marquesas AFC's zone, Rodolfo Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elazar Alzerreca came out of the goal and Rodolfo Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erik Segarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milián Viel having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Marquesas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Larrauna came free, but Elazar Alzerreca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Nordman's late challenge caught a Tuna Talcahuano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodrigo Nordman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Marquesas AFC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Rodrigo Nordman hit a great ball. Jimeno Laferte charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimeno Laferte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jimeno Laferte kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Tuna Talcahuano's Haroldo Larrauna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elazar Alzerreca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tuna Talcahuano's Rodolfo Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alifonso Cienfuegos got free with Milián Viel in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elazar Alzerreca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Larrauna in the 41st minute of play. Erik Segarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Milián Viel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Marquesas AFC's Rodrigo Nordman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Milián Viel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rodolfo Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play Marquesas AFC's Rodrigo Nordman was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 52 played minutes Marquesas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Nordman. Santiago Rumie kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Haroldo Larrauna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, Haroldo Larrauna lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Elazar Alzerreca. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Fonseca in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elazar Alzerreca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodolfo Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Elazar Alzerreca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elazar Alzerreca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Marquesas AFC's Elazar Alzerreca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Fonseca in the 88th minute of play. Erik Segarra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milián Viel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Alifonso Cienfuegos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Milián Viel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
