Tamariz Saul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvar Paul in the 18th minute of the match. Shohoku FC's Pío Benito quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ruperto Yavar, made in the 20th minute of the game. Tamariz Saul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darío Kirck in the 22nd minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvar Paul made a kick off. The supporters of Manuel Rodríguez 1186 booed when Shohoku FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Soriano Kroon didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Ruperto Yavar from long distance, 52 minutes into the match, got Tamariz Saul's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 53 minutes, Firmín Navarro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shohoku FC and the Manuel Rodríguez 1186 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Ruperto Yavar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Nazario Von Roques recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tamariz Saul. Nazario Von Roques showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Savier Guzmán was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Shohoku FC's Savier Guzmán got a free kick in the 82nd minute. When Ruperto Yavar came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Manuel Rodríguez 1186 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Yavar couldn't finish the play. When Salomone Irizar fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shohoku FC's protests and gave Salomone Irizar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Shohoku FC's Salomone Irizar got a free kick in the 85th minute. With an all-out effort, Manuel Rodríguez 1186's Tamariz Saul threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jose Aballay, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The throw-in from Zacarías Camus in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Shohoku FC's Firmín Navarro. 96 minutes into the match, Shohoku FC's goalkeeper Tamariz Saul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvar Paul. When the final whistle sounded Manuel Rodríguez 1186 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Shohoku FC.
