Tamariz Saul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Felipillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. A collision led to Shohoku FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Adam Plaza hit a great ball. Tamariz Saul was a little too slow when Leonides Felipillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. Pedro José Gamboa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Tamariz Saul made a huge save. With his leg Tamariz Saul managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Crucero del Sur's Pedro José Gamboa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 30 minutes into the match, Leonides Felipillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tamariz Saul. Shohoku FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonides Felipillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Tamariz Saul was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Leonides Felipillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonides Felipillo really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. Shohoku FC's Tamariz Saul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Marcelo Vildosola in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, José Marcelo Vildosola made a precise shot to the right of Tamariz Saul. Shohoku FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Tamariz Saul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víctor Javier Escobillana, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Arcadio Gattini got free with Tom Howard in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tom Howard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Plaza, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Crucero del Sur's Abdón Baros got a free kick in the 78th minute. Crucero del Sur's Tom Howard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Varela in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Felipillo in the 85th minute of play forced Shohoku FC's goalkeeper Tamariz Saul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Pedro José Gamboa notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Shohoku FC's Tamariz Saul. Tamariz Saul was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tamariz Saul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro José Gamboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Crucero del Sur's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
