Jürgen Reil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Yerko Descalzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arkın Taşboğa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Jürgen Reil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiel Pinksteren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yerko Descalzo in the 34th minute of play forced AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Arkın Taşboğa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by AFC Richmond's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kiki Fonseca was slow to take the kick. During this time Centinela Español FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Kiki Fonseca almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AFC Richmond's Arkın Taşboğa did a great save. 38 minutes into the game, Vinicio Celada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vinicio Celada hit a great ball. AFC Richmond's Remicio Price quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Donato Caszely, made in the 41st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Tolhauzsen in the 46th minute of play forced Centinela Español FC's goalkeeper Jürgen Reil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yerko Descalzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arkın Taşboğa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yerko Descalzo in the 76th minute of play. Enrique Arosteguis short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Jürgen Reil to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jürgen Reil stood somewhat misplaced when Enrique Arostegui came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 78 minute. When the match was over AFC Richmond could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Centinela Español FC throughout the match.
