In the 10th minute Xalvador Mac Kenney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Voineag saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Yerko Maloku shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodemo Recalde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xalvador Mac Kenney came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gabriel Voineag could save by the left post. In the 14thth minute of the game Yerko Maloku who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VILLANUEVA FC's Nicodemo Recalde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xalvador Mac Kenney got free with Gabriel Voineag in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel Voineag made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xalvador Mac Kenney in the 21st minute. Alonzo Rosselot's late challenge caught a Shohoku FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicodemo Recalde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Xalvador Mac Kenney might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Voineag. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xalvador Mac Kenney ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes into the match, Shohoku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xalvador Mac Kenney came free, but Gabriel Voineag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Yerko Maloku who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VILLANUEVA FC's Nicodemo Recalde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Apat Cienfuegos fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shohoku FC's protests and gave Apat Cienfuegos a yellow card for diving instead. Apat Cienfuegos hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Mark Javia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shohoku FC played a much better game than VILLANUEVA FC and deserved their victory. The VILLANUEVA FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
